He was initially partnered by teenager Stefan Payne until Luke Rooney came on late in the game.
Akinfenwa told BBC Radio Kent: "We play every day together, it's not hard if you play with good players."
Other strikers who could play alongside Akinfenwa include fellow new signing Cody McDonald, Mark McCammon or Dennis Oli.
"We have got a really good squad," Akinfenwa continued. "We have a good array of talent, hopefully we can work together even more, get a better understanding and get a few goals."
