The winger, who has been a hugely positive influence for the team in recent weeks, has been the only real creative player in the side during the enforced absence of Matty Jarvis, but now fans who yearned to see a Gills side with two attacking wingers may get their wish, thanks to the news of Black's loan extension and news that Jarvis is on the verge of a return.
So far Black has played in 7 matches for the Gills, scoring one and making a couple, including setting up fellow loanee Justin Cochrane with a sublime back-flick in our 3-1 defeat at the weekend.
His presence will help the side as the campaign enters the end-of-season run-in, but Jepson remains keen on recruiting one or two new faces to bolster the side in the next week or two. Watch this space.
