Bossu becomes a Quaker keeper
The lanky Frenchman has signed a one-year contract and is set to compete with former Middlesbrough keeper Sam Russell for the starting role in Darlington's side. Russell signed a new deal with the club at the same time as Bossu - and Quakers manager David Hodgson is delighted to have secured the pair.
"We've been working extremely hard behind the scenes to try and secure these players for the new campaign.
"Sam Russell had a few options available to him during the summer and was linked with other clubs but we are delighted that he has pledged his future to Darlington.
"We now have two very good keepers at the club and I'm sure Bertrand will offer some good competition to Sam for a starting role."
Bossu didn't figure often for the Gills, but performed heroics in the FA Cup victory against Charlton, where his stunning treble save will live long in the memory.
We wish Bertrand every success at his new club.
