Larrieu: French stopper arrives at the Gills
It's been all-change between the sticks for Gillingham, with on-loan keeper Dean Brill being recalled to Luton and replaced by new loanee Romain Larrieu from Plymouth

Following Brill's recall, Gillingham moved quickly to secure the emergency seven-day loan of Larrieu, who looks certain to go straight into the Gills side.

Thirty-year-old Larrieu is an experienced campaigner, having racked up 197 appearances for Plymouth since he moved to Home Park from Montpellier in his homeland France.

Despite being the club's recognized number one during the last few seasons, Larrieu has been in and out of the Pilgrims side this season, and despite recently recovering from a cancer scare to feature in Ian Holloway's starting lineup over the festive period, it appears the Frenchman has fallen out of favour at Home Park.

With Luke McCormick now preferred between the sticks for the Pilgrims, Gillingham were able to make their move for the experienced stopper to bolster their ranks ahead of a testing couple of matches.

Gills fans will be able to see Larrieu in action against Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium on Tuesday night - and again at Priestfield as they take on Tranmere Rovers in a televised Sky game on Friday night.
