Brown: Premiership bound
Brown decided he wasn't happy with the contract offered by Gillingham and exercised his right to look elsewhere and talk to other clubs. A possible move to Cardiff City fell through, and he looked on the verge of a move to Swansea City before Blackburn expressed an interest.

Talking to the Blackburn Rovers official website, Jason said, "Just a month ago I was waiting on a contract offer from Gillingham, then last week I looked to be on my way to Swansea before I spoke to Eddie Niedzwiecki and he asked me to give them some time.

"It hasn't sunk in yet, I imagine it will do in the next few days. It just goes to show that anything can happen in football, it has been a whirlwind.

"I can't wait to get started working with the coaches and players here."
