Brown: Fans favourite departs for the Premiership
Brown who failed to agree a new deal with Gillingham, claimed a move to Cardiff would be a 'dream move', then later looked set for a move to Swansea.

But a late offer from Premiership side Blackburn Rovers caused Jason to stop and reconsider his move to Wales - and after assessing his options, he has opted to move to the Premiership side, who will compete in Europe in the UEFA Cup this season.

The move leaves Gillingham without a goalkeeper - and Ronnie Jepson will be looking to move quickly to bring a replacement to the club in time for pre-season training.

Brown's departure comes on the heels of Darren Byfield's exit to League One rivals Millwall.
