The 33-year-old stopper, who played under Neale Cooper at Ross County, was linked with a move to Gillingham in the Scottish press last week.
But with his family settled in Scotland, plus the lure of European football, it seems the Englishman is ready to re-commit to the Terrors.
"I'm going to speak to Gordon (Chisholm, the Dundee United manager) on Thursday and it should be finalised then," Bullock told Sky Sports.
"We've been talking for a while and it's virtually agreed.
"Staying was always my first choice because my family are settled here and we've got the UEFA Cup to look forward to."
