Chorley wants Gills move
"I am here until January and if I can do enough during that time and the manager likes me I would like to get something sorted.
"He is the sort of manager that you enjoy playing for because he wears his heart on his sleeve.
"I was amazed we haven't had a clean sheet all season as we looked really solid against Carlisle - it was a smashing win."
Despite only featuring for a short spell towards the end of the Gills' match against Carlisle, Chorley has already gone a long way to impressing his new fans, with many feeling he would form a superb centre half partnership with Brent Sancho at the heart of the Gills defence.
Chorley's influence could be seen from the moment he entered the fray as a defensive midfielder, with the former Arsenal reserve skipper taking charge and ordering the defence to push out rather than follow the usual suicidal trend of dropping too deep - and it helped the side earn their first clean sheet in 18 attempts this season.
It was a highly promising debut performance, and fans will hope that he can cement his palce in the Gills' notoriously shaky back four and help the side to more clean sheets, and more wins, in the matches to come.
