Citony hoping for Gills transfer

The player, who has also operated in a midfield role for his club, appears keen to move to the Priestfield Stadium.

"Gillingham are a very well structured club with good facilities and a nice stadium. I will see what the officials propose to me," he told Sky Sports.

Citony has struggled to maintain his first-team place at St. Etienne following Les Verts' signing of former Leeds loanee Lamine Sakho - and is hoping to move to England to continue his career.

He'll be training with the squad during the next couple of weeks and if he impresses Stan Ternent and Ronnie Jepson - a move may be a possibility.
