Cox: Happy to stay at the Gills
Cox, who was a mainstay at centre half last season, was one out of contract this summer, but is more than happy to stay at Priestfield, where he is hopeful of better things to come.

"It is nice to have got it all sorted before I go off to Germany," Cox said in a statement this week.

"I am enjoying my football at the club and although we missed out on the play-offs this year, we are building a good squad here and things are looking good for next season.

"Now I am concentrating on the World Cup though, it is going to be my first and only major tournament so I am going to enjoy it all as much as I can. Hopefully we (Trinidad & Tobago) can give a good account of ourselves and maybe cause an upset in one of the games."
