Crofts set for penalty duty
Gills manager Mark Stimson was glowing in his praise of Crofts' recent performances and has given his captain a pep-talk ahead of the end-of-season run-in.
"I had a good chat with "Crofty" over the weekend," Stimson told the official Gillingham website.
"He has lightened up a little bit over the last few weeks. I said to him that he shouldn't fear anyone at this level as he is an international player. He has got goals in his locker and he has got fantastic fitness levels.
"In the final ten games, just go for it and be the player to get this club out of it.
"He has taken it on board, again with the armband. Adam Miller missed a penalty at Hartlepool. I had a chat with "Crofty" and he said he was up for taking penalties. That is responsibility."
