Crofts sweeps the board
Talking to the official website, Crofts said,"I am absolutely over the moon. It is absolutely fantastic and I want to say thanks a lot to the fans as they have been brilliant all year.
"It has been a good night. Obviously one award would have been nice, but to come away with four awards, it is a great achievement for me. I am honoured to do so and hopefully I can keep on improving and achieve more.
"I have really enjoyed it and it has been a big season for me. I have been
playing well and to be rewarded like that, I am over the moon. I just need
to keep it going. You don't really think about things like this and you
just keep on concentrating about playing your football. A night like the
Player of the Year night, it really hits home and it's massive for me."
Crofts beat midfielder Mark Bentley into second place, with striker Gary Mulligan in third. All three were standout performers in a season of mediocrity for the Gills, and richly deserved their awards.
Gills' Young Player of the Year award went to winger Matty Jarvis.
