Eastbourne sign Gills midfielder

Eastbourne sign Gills midfielder.

Blue Square Premier side Eastbourne Borough have signed midfielder Luke Rooney from League One Gillingham on loan for the rest of the season.The 19-year-old turned professional in summer 2009 and has recently signed a two-year deal to stay at Priestfield until 2012.

Rooney, who scored on his first-team debut for the Gills in September, has made 13 appearances this season.

Eastbourne are just two points above the relegation places.
