First new face arrives as Armstrong checks in

Armstrong arrives to help shore up Gills' leaky defence
Armstrong confirmed the move in an interview with the press in Gloucestershire, saying: "I am at the latter end of my career and at my age I could not turn this sort of offer down.

"They are paying me some relocation and travelling expenses, and the wage is higher as well."

Armstrong, who previously played for the Gills on-loan back in 1996, returns to Priestfield as a full-time player - and is expected to slot into the left back role vacated by the departure of Danny Jackman.

Armstrong is hopefully the first of many new signings at Priestfield this summer - and we wish him well as he joins the Gills ranks for season 07-08.
