Hope: released by Jepson

Club captain Chris Hope is the big name casualty of Jepson's summer clearout, as he heads the list of players released by the club this summer.

He'll be on the lookout for a new club, along with Richard Rose, Gavin Grant (both as reported last week on Gills365), John Wallis and Akwasi Fobi-Edusei, who have all been released.

Perhaps the biggest surprise of that group is Wallis, who featured regularly for the Gills under Jepson, though the manager is thought to prefer Sean Clohessy at right back.

Brown: offered a new deal, but is it a suitable offer?

Darren Byfield, Jason Brown, Frannie Collin, and Ian Cox have all been offered new contracts at the club, but it remains to be seen whether those contracts are deemed suitable by the quartet.
