"Ask any player, the only thing you want to do is play. It's OK sitting up there and playing here and there, but I want to be playing every week. I think I've got a better chance of doing that with Gillingham.

"It's an opportunity to play more and it's a good club with a good pedigree. It's a good club all round and I'm ready for the challenge.

"There's a few familiar faces here too and that always helps when you're coming to a new club - the quicker you settle the better it is for everyone I think."

He's not a very well known player by fans - but he confirmed where he feels his best position is, "I'm a central midfielder, but I'll play wherever the manager wants me to.

"I'll just be up and down, get in the box and try and get my fair share of goals. I'll also be trying to get into the other box to stop them from scoring too."

On the subject of goals, he said, "I should have six or seven already this season as I've missed a few good chances.

"You need a little bit of luck and maybe I wasn't having any. It will change though - everybody goes through it so I'm not so worried."

"We need seven wins from the last 16 games now. Who they're against I don't care as long as we get them.

"I would like one to be here against Wigan though. If it's to be it's to be."
