Perpetuini has recently left Steveneage Borough, while Kevin James has found himself at the bottom of the pecking order at Nottingham Forest.

Both players will be keen to impress and earn themselves a deal with the Robins, who were the bookies' favourites to win the League One title this season.

Things haven't quite gone according to plan for Bristol City, however, and after the departure of Brian Tinnion, Gary Johnson has moved into the managerial hotseat at Ashton Gate.

Results are improving, but clearly, Johnson is keen to strengthen his squad. Whether Perpetuini or James will fit into his plans remains to be seen.
