Four in, one out for the Gills

Armstrong: will bolster a shaky defence
Midfielders Barry Cogan and Aaron Brown have signed from Barnet and Swindon Town respectively.

They are joined by former Cheltenham defender Craig Armstrong and Rotherham striker Delroy Facey, whose signings we reported a couple of weeks back.

The new quartet join Simon King at the club, taking Gillingham's "new face" count to five, with just under a month still remaining to the start of the season.

We wish all five new arrivals well and hope they'll play with pride, passion and commitment for the Gills this season and beyond.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Matty Jarvis has rejected Gillingham's new contract offer and has signed a two-year deal with Wolverhampton Wanderers for an undisclosed fee.

We wish Matty all the best at his new club.
