Rose: Off for pastures new this summer?

We have already been told about the departures of Mark Cornielle and Danny Knowles, who both failed to establish themselves as regular members of the first team squad, but this weekend we also learned of two more departures.

Fullback Richard Rose and striker Gavin Grant have also reportedly been released, as Ronnie Jepson appears to be starting his post-season clear-out.

Rose broke into the first team picture a few seasons ago, but has struggled with his consistency over the past two seasons - and has reportedly been released, as has striker Grant, who only joined the club this season after a trial period.

But while one striker leaves, it seems one may be joining, as loan hitman Gary Mulligan is on the verge of signing a permanent deal with the Gills.

With Ronnie Jepson promising changes this summer, there's likely to be a fair amount of transfer activity as the gaffer looks to put together a strong squad for next season. As always, we'll bring you the latest transfer news as it happens.
