The Gills did not win away last season and Fuller wants to end all talk of that as early as possible.
He told BBC Radio Kent: "I would like to try and get that voodoo away from us so I would like to get an away trip on the board and get a winning start."
"For me, a lot of the boys would like to be away and get that win straight away and that's out of the way then."
Fuller says all players look for specific games and he is no different.
"You always look for a derby, a big team in the league, or teams you used to play for."
"I look forward to playing Barnet, I played for Barnet before, it will be bigger now Stimmo (Mark Stimson - former Gills manager) is there, it becomes one of the crunch ones. That will be an interesting one.
"Also Stevenage is a club I loved playing for, they're a club that were going places and it doesn't surprise me they are in the league now."
Fuller also knows that Gillingham are now one of the bigger draws for other clubs in League Two.
He added: "The year we went down before we were joint favourites to go back up again. It's something you have to deal with. We are a big club in that league, people know we are a good side, it's pressure but we believe we are going to go back up and anything less will be a disappointment."
