Gills announce ST price review

Priestfield: Cheaper ST's this season?
Following Gillingham's relegation to League One, Scally has looked at the season ticket prices and decided that they need adjusting to take into account our drop in League status.

Season ticket holders and fans on the club database will receive details of the newly-amended season ticket prices through the post in the next few days.

It is hoped that the amended prices will encourage more fans to renew their seats for next season. Clearly, the uptake in season tickets has not been at the level hoped for by the club - and steps are now being taken to try and maintain the numbers among the bedrock of Gills support.

Scally: Looking to encourage fans to Priestfield in 2005/2006
Some fans voiced their concern and displeasure at the ST prices when they were originally released - and the club's performance over the course of the season, combined with the increase in ST prices, did little to encourage fans to renew their seats for next season. Gillingham's relegation only served to add fuel to the fire of fan opinion that the ticketing policy was out of touch with the product offered.

Hopefully, the club will also review their pricing policy for pay-on-the-day supporters - as their contribution to the gate and the atmosphere inside the ground will be crucial as the Gills look to bounce back up into the Championship at their first attempt.

Fans will welcome the news from the club - and hopefully it will result in more fans renewing their seats for next season, as well as encouraging non ST holders to become season ticket holders themselves.
