The former Gills keeper made 106 league appearances for the Gills between August 1995 and October 1999, and a career total in excess of 600 appearances.
His appointment fills a void that was evident last season, when loanee keepers did not train with the squad. His addition should greatly assist in achieving a more cohesive defensive unit.
