Chris Dickson made a return to the squad following a calf injury but remained on the bench as Stimson chose not to gamble on the striker's fitness.
The 25-year-old could be in contention for a start if Stimson opts to shuffle his pack after a full week of training under his belt.
Utility-man Mark Bentley will also press for selection following his return and Danny Jackman could continue after starting the Huddersfield game despite suffering illness the night before.
Defenders Simon King (ankle ligaments) and Barry Fuller (broken arm) are Stimson's only absentees.
