Gillingham will be without new signing Joe Martin for their game at Stockport after he picked up a hamstring injury in their 1-0 defeat at Wycombe.Manager Andy Hessenthaler told BBC Radio Kent: "It looks like a strain or maybe a tear. We'll assess that in the next couple of days - but it's a blow."
To make matters worse for the Gills, captain Barry Fuller is also a doubt for Saturday with a groin problem.
He played at Adams Park despite injuring himself in the warm-up.
The Gills boss said: "Barry slipped and felt his groin in the warm-up, he felt it all game to be fair and it was a risk.
We've got him waiting in the wings and if Joe's not right then Barch will be a ready replacement
Andy Hessenthaler
"We'll have to look after Baz this week and see how he goes but that would be a probably because we haven't got an outright right-back.
"Barry's been doing really well of late getting forward but he got through the game and we'll assess his groin in the next couple of days. Hopefully he'll be OK for the weekend."
Martin's injury could mean a return to the starting line up for Andy Barcham for the first time since August.
"Barcham is chomping at the bit," said Hessenthaler.
"We've got him waiting in the wings and if Joe's not right then Barch will be a ready replacement."
