Gills go fourth as fans vote in their thousands

The Gills found themselves with a deficit of around 3,000 votes to overcome if they were to catch the Royals - but amazingly the Gills fans have rallied round and done just that.

Since moving into fifth place in the league, Gills fans have registered over 4,600 votes in the space of five days to move up another place - and now sit proudly in fourth. It's an amazing achievement - and one that gives the Gills a great chance of winning the £250,000 first prize.

Every vote counts, and all the votes go into the hat for the draw, when one lucky fan will be drawn to receive a cheque for £250,000 for his club to spend on a player, plus £10,000 for themselves. There are additional divisional prizes of £50,000 for one team from each of the non-winning divisions.

Keep on registering your votes - and give us the best chance possible to win that new player. Go to
