Byfield: Deflected equaliser
Byfield's strike came with 19 minutes remaining, after Parys Okai gave the home side the lead.

The match saw new signing Tommy Williams forced out of the action early on with an injury to his left ankle, while the latest new face at Priestfield, Danny Jackman, impressed with a lively performance down the left flank.

Other notable news to come out of the game was the latest two, as-yet unnamed trialists we have at the club. It appears we have a German centre half and an Argentinian striker on trial. Whether their performances have suitably impressed manager Neale Cooper remains to be seen.

The result may not have been the best, but at this stage, results are unimportant. Cooper is learning about the players we have - and where we need to strengthen. With just two weeks to go before the start of the season, we could see two or three more new faces sign up before the big kick-off against Colchester.
