Jackman: Set to join the Gills?

Jackman who made 37 appearances for the Hatters last season, played the full 90 minutes in Gillingham's recent pre-season match at Folkestone Invicta - and Gills boss Neale Cooper is believed to be impressed with the 22-year-old's performance.

Stockport County also seem to believe the deal is iminent, with Hatters boss Chris Turner telling the official Stockport website, "I believe Danny has done really well at Gillingham and it looks as though they want to take him on a permanent deal.

"Danny's move should benefit the squad as a whole as I would anticipate being able to make two more signings.

We've had no official confirmation of any further signings as yet, but Jackman's name could be the next name on the list of new arrivals.
