Black: At last! A creative midfielder

Twenty-six year old Black has joined the Gills and will be available for the next seven league games - including this weekend's match with Rotherham United at Priestfield.

He has featured for Palace this season after a return from injury, but he has been unable to tie down a regular starting spot at Selhurst Park and has moved on loan to the Gills in the search for regular first-team football.

Black, a former Arsenal trainee, is capable of operating down both flanks - and is likely to feature on the left flank of Gillingham's team in the weeks to come.
