Mulligan: Should provide extra grunt up front for the Gills
Ronnie Jepson made his second loan in the space of a week by securing the services of Sheffield United's Irish striker Gary Mulligan on a month's loan.

Mulligan, who started his career at Wolves, signed for the Blades in the summer - and has been on loan at Port Vale already this season, scoring once in his 12 appearances for the Valiants.

The 20-year old Irishman is out of contract in the summer - and may bring a different option to the squad.

At over six feet tall, he may help bring some aerial presence to the side when called upon - and it'll be interesting to see how Jepson integrates him into his team.

Mulligan goes straight into the squad for this weekend's away trip to Saltergate as the Gills take on Chesterfield.
