Hendo: Will he stay or will he go?

Hess: Will see the benefit
Hendo's stint at the County Ground has seen him score four goals in four appearances and stories have recently surfaced suggesting Robins' manager Andy King has made it clear that he wants to make Henderson a permanent signing.

Speaking to Swindon Town's official website, Robins boss Andy King said, 'It's a difficult one really, he has done fantastically well. We should have done it even before he came here on loan.

'I have spoken to Andy Hessenthaler, expressing my interest in Henderson, but he told me that the Chairman makes the decisions.

'I am telling everyone now for the last time; I would like to bring Darius Henderson here on a full time basis. If I can do the appropriate deals with Gillingham correctly then I will take that opportunity.'

However, Hessenthaler's comments to the local press this week suggest that Henderson still has a part to play at Priestfield.

'It's been good for him as it's raised his confidence and fitness levels,' said Hessenthaler.

'We will benefit from that when he returns next week.'

With Swindon still extremely keen - it seems the Gills could find themselves with a pleasant dilemma. Should they opt to keep Henderson, they will have a striker in good goalscoring form. Should they opt to sell, they should get a reasonable fee for a man who scored 4 in 4 for the Robins.

We'll report any developments on this situation right here on Gills365.
