Hessenthaler, who launched a stinging attack on the Walsall official immediately after the game, said: "I didn't ring him to apologise. We had a chat, and I put my points of view across and he did the same.
"That's it as far as I'm concerned, the game's over and we've got to get on with it.
"It's an emotional game and heat of the moment stuff. He has to make decisions in a split second."
