Hope: adds experience to Rushden

Hope has signed a two-year deal - and his new manager, former Nottingham Forest coach Paul Hart, is delighted to have snared the former Gills skipper.

Talking to the Rushden official website, Hart said, "This is a great signing for Rushden and Diamonds.Chris was brought up under the Nottingham Forest mentality and his undoubted experience will be of great benefit to us.

"He is a gutsy battler who shows great leadership.His integrity and honesty is a terrific example and he is the perfect role model for our younger players.I am very, very pleased to have him here."

Hope served the Gills with distinction during his six seasons at Priestfield and we wish him well at his new club.
