Hope set for Darlo move

Hope: Set to join the Quakers
Hope, who was the club captain last season, was released in the summer after failing to earn a new contract offer at Priestfield - and it seems that for former Gills centre half, who played for Darlington earlier in his career, may be heading back up north.

Darlo manager Dave Hodgson has been quoted as saying "Chris dearly wants to come. I know all about him. He had been at Darlington as a young man before being transferred to Nottingham Forest. He has maintained his ability to play at a higher level and will be a good capture for our club."

The move sees Hope dropping down to League Two to play his football next season, but in Darlington, he's likely to be at a club pushing hard for promotion.
