Is it bye-bye from Bye-Byes?

Byfield: Set for a new club in the New Year?
According to a source close to the club, Byfield has told some of his colleagues that he will be "away from this club in 6 weeks." This may just be wishful thinking for the new father, looking for a move closer to his roots and unsure of his standing in the new hierarchy at the club. However, the club’s recent history also suggests it would be more than willing to cash in on a striker nearing the end of his playing contract.

With just 5 months left on his contract in late 2004, the club sold Paul Shaw to Sheffield Utd for an undisclosed fee, believed to be in the region of £60,000. Many fans point to this sale as the turning point in the clubs recent fortunes. Could a similar sale be on the cards in the New Year?

With Ronnie Jepson stating that there will be players moved out of Priestfield in January, who is sure of their place in his squad for the new year, and who is already sat in the Priestfield departure lounge? Speculation is rife, with rumours linking Tony Bullock, Brent Sancho, Steve Hislop, Alan Pouton and now Darren Byfield with moves away from Priestfield.
