Jepson wants proof on the park

Jepson: Being good in training is all well and good, but he wants performances on a matchday
Talking to the official club website, Jepson said that he's now looking closely at the performance of the players.

"We've had a good response since the defeat against Colchester United, but it's one thing to respond in training and another out there on the park where it's a test of your mettle. That's where you prove to my staff and me that you're a player.

"I've seen plenty of good training ground players in my time, but it's about doing it in a proper game for 90 minutes out on the park."

He has demanded that the players produce a performance for the fans - and said, "I want a reaction from the players as that then helps the fans to get behind them. It's up to the players to get the supporters going.

"They (the supporters) had a go at Colchester, but they had every right to do so. The supporters have backed us all the way through."
