Midfielder Miller admitted it was frustrating not to come away from The Valley with all three points, but believes they can take heart from their performance against the high-flying Addicks.
"It's a great confidence booster playing like that against such a big team," said Miller.
"I'm delighted with the way we played, all the boys have worked hard. It's disheartening to throw away a lead, but to go to Charlton in a local derby, with a lot of pressure and a big crowd, it was good to come away with a point."
He added: "The boys have been like that for the last few weeks now. We've been good in training too, so hopefully that will all pay off for us."
