Mulligan makes u-turn and stays at Gills
Mulligan, who has scored five times from 30 league appearances last season, was thought to be on his way out of Priestfield after he reportedly told manager Mark Stimson that he wanted to play League One football next season.
Mulligan's apparent u-turn suggests that perhaps no League One club was interested, so the former Sheffield United player will take his place in the Gillingham squad once again next season.
Fans will hope that the hard-working striker can find his scoring touch in League Two, as the Irishman currently has a less-than-impressive scoring record for the Gills, with just 13 goals scored in 81 league appearances.
