Nosworthy and Hills first to depart

Nyron: Inevitable departure
Nosworthy refused to sign a new deal when offered earlier in the season - and has been rumoured to be looking at a step up. His form in the latter part of the season can't have helped his chances of finding a top-flight club, but the likes of Millwall and Peter Taylor's Hull City may both be interested in the player, who has operated in a number of roles for the Gills since he came through the ranks into the first team at Priestfield.

Hills was to be part off a deal that saw Blackpool's talented midfielder Richie Wellens moving to Priestfield, but it seems Gillingham's relegation has scuppered those plans - and with the Wellens deal now reported to be off, Hills may look north anyway - with reports of a return to Bloomfield Road still circulating online.

Hills: Homeward bound?
Both players showed glimpses of good ability at Priestfield, but arguably both should have been played further forward to harness their more attacking tendencies.

Their departure from the club means one of the first jobs for the new manager will be to find two fullbacks capable of slotting into the first team in League One.

We wish both players well for the future.
