Poll result: Creative midfielder just the job

The poll asked what change would be most beneficial to the Gills - and offered half a dozen suggestions, all mentioned by Gills fans in recent weeks.

Gills365's readers overwhelmingly voted for the option to bring in a creative midfielder, with 48.6% of voters going for that option.

The fans may well get their wish as Gills boss Andy Hessenthaler is in the process of trying to bring a creative player to the club. Portsmouth's England under-21 captain Gary O'Neil has been mentioned as a potential target, but there may also be other targets in Hessenthaler's sights.

Other suggestions in the poll, such as ditching the long-ball game, appointing a new manager and lowering ticket prices, also picked up a good amount of support.
