Jepson: wants more new signings
So far, Jepson has signed goalkeeper Kelvin Jack, defender Duncan Jupp, midfielders Clint Easton and Mark Bentley and strikers Dean McDonald, Guy Ndumbu-Nsungu and Gary Mulligan.

But the Gills boss, embarking on his first full season as a League manager, says he is still on the lookout for players.

"I'd like another five or six players, including a right sided midfielder, centre back, keeper and another forward," he told the Kent Messenger this week.

Fans have been discussing the relative merits of the Gills squad on internet forums and Jepson's areas of concern match those of the fans, who see the addition of another striker and another goalkeeper as vital signings. The addition of another right winger/midfielder and a centre half would round out the squad and provide the Gills gaffer with cover for each position going into the new season.

With Gillingham's pre-season getting underway with a win yesterday, Jepson will be hoping to add to his squad sooner rather than later in order that the new additions can take part in as full a pre-season as possible. We'll bring you news of any signings as they happen.
