Sancho: Richly deserved call-up after a difficult season
The two players have formed a formidable partnership in the centre of Gillingham's defence of late, and the results have been there for all to see.

Sancho's return has been hailed as a long-awaited success, while Cox's form has noticeably improved as a result of having his T&T teammate alongside him.

For Sancho, it's been a really difficult season, with long spells out of the side after a misunderstanding with the club. His return to the side has seen him playing like a man with a point to prove - and a number of superb performances have helped him earn his World Cup spot - and the Gills fans who felt his exclusion from the team at Priestfield will be absolutely delighted for him

Cox: Concentrated on his footbalI, and got his reward
For Ian Cox, this summer represented his last chance at international glory in a major tournament, and his refreshingly philosophical attitude to his place in the side has seen him just getting on with his job at Gillingham. His performances alongside Sancho have been markedly better than earlier in the season - and his call-up will be richly welcomed by Gills fans, too.

We at Gills365 wish Brent and Ian all the very best for the summer, and hope they can secure their places in Leo Beenhakker's starting eleven for the tournament. Obviously the majority of Gills fans want to see England doing well, but there will be a significant pocket of support for the Soca Warriors in Kent, too.

Congratulations lads!
