Sancho still a possibility for Gills

Sancho: Could sign after all?
Talking to the Kilmarnock official website, manager Jim Jefferies, said, "It was a great opportunity to see how the players would perform against a strong Rangers side and ultimately give me a reason to offer them a contract, but I felt that they didn't show enough.

"Both are good players but Brent in particular is more of a playmaker and not the aggresive ballwinner I am looking for."

Sancho was thought to be keeping his options open after impressing Neale Cooper and the watching Gills fans in two pre-season friendlies - and following his unsuccessful trial at Kilmarnock, a deal may still be possible, should both parties decide to pursue it.

With virtually no defensive cover at the club, the versatile Sancho, who can operate anywhere along the back four or in midfield, could be another very handy free signing.

We know Cooper wants to play passing footbaIl this season - and Sancho certainly fits the bill in that regard. He has pace, strength and impressed many fans and pundits with his displays for Dundee in the SPL.

Perhaps we might sign Sancho after all...
