Get well soon: Mark Saunders

According to the official website, Saunders had an operation to pin his leg on Monday - and he has already started walking with the physiotherapist.

Saunders received messages of support from fans of both Gillingham and Preston and expressed his gratitude in an interview with the official GFC website.

He said, 'It's touching how many people have actually gone out of their way to write to me.

'I have had messages from Gillingham and Preston supporters and I would like to offer my sincere thanks to them all.'
