Scally delighted at Ternent arrival
"He has always been a hot favourite and last night we agreed terms and he comes on board with immediate effect with his number two Ronnie Jepson.
"He is a very experienced manager and knows the division very well. He has got a shed load of contacts, is a very strong manager, and I think he'll bring with him a steel and determination that perhaps is needed within the team at the moment.
"It's a well known fact that there's 15 players out of contract at the end of the season and Stan's task is to give everyone a clean sheet start.
"He will assess people over the next 24 games I suspect and either offer them new contracts or not.
"In so far as in the mean time, of course, we want to try and bring in extra players to strengthen the squad. Stan will make that decision and we'll go out and try and find them.
"Initially Stan is coming in until the end of the season - 24 games, but with a view to looking at a further two year contract at the end of this season.
"I think it's a question of assessing the club at the end of the season and then taking the club on.
"Stan's objective in the short term, as he quite rightly says, is to keep us in the division.
"Everyone at the club will be backing him and supporting him in an attempt to do that."
