Scally: predicting promotion this season

In an interview with the club's official website, the Gills supremo spoke about the various changes in the club's playing staff over the summer - and boldy predicted promotion for the Gills this season.

Speaking to the official website, Scally said: "We are quite capable and geared as a club, not just as a team, but as the club. We are well positioned now to get promoted this season, and I believe we will get promoted this season."

Scally also said that he was happy with the way the squad was shaping up, but said there may still be more new faces to come.

"I think the players we have got will contribute to a very balanced squad and I am really looking forward to the beginning of the season. There could still be one or two more additions, and they will all add to what we are trying to achieve this season, which is promotion back to the Championship."
