Sancho: Soca Warrior now available for Scunthorpe clash
That news meant Gillingham and Scunthorpe had the option of playing the match this coming Friday as scheduled - and after discussions between the two clubs the match has been officially confirmed.

Both sides will still be without first-team players, however, as Gills midfielder Andy Crofts is on international duty with Wales and Scunthorpe striker Andy Keogh is away with the Republic of Ireland under 21s.

However, Trinidad & Tobago duo Brent Sancho and Kelvin Jack will both remain with the Gills squad - and while the still-unfit Jack is expected to remain on the sidelines with Darren Randolph retaining his place in goal, Sancho should retain his place in the centre of the Gills defence after his strong showing in Gillingham's 1-1 draw at Blackpool last weekend.

The match kicks off at 7.45pm this Friday, September 1st - and tickets are available from the Gillingham Ticket Office by calling 01634 300 000.
