Spiller: Likely to be on his way if a good offer comes in
Talking to his personal website during the festive period, Spiller confirmed that he was still on the transfer list as the club are looking to ease the pressure on the wage bill - and that if the club receive a decent offer for him in the transfer window, then he will be free to go.

Talking to his website at www.icons.com, Spiller said, "It will be difficult for me to move on. I've been at Gillingham for seven or eight years now and it's my local club. But sometimes you've got to do what's best for your career. I'll be disappointed, but obviously I'm ambitious and if a bigger club comes in then I will definitely consider it."

"If a team came in and I didn't want to go I could stay where I am, because I've still got a year and a half left on my contract. I have however spoken to my agent and there has been a little bit of interest from a few teams, but at the moment nothing concrete because I need to get a few games under my belt after being out injured for so long. Once I'm fit, we'll see what happens."

With teams showing an interest and with Danny approaching full fitness once again, could he soon be on his way from Priestfield Stadium? We'll report any developments on this story as they break.
