Stillie: experienced stopper joins the Gills
Stillie, who played superbly between the sticks for Wigan against the Gills in the Playoff Final of 2000, has been a consistent performer, racking up more than 250 appearances during his career.

Earlier this week we reported that the former Aberdeen, Wigan, Dunfermline and Dundee United man was in talks with the Gills over a possible move - and the club have now officially confimed the player has now signed for the Gills.

Stillie's arrival provides the club with a much-needed player - a reliable, fit goalkeeper. It remains to be seen whether the club will stil sign Simon Royce, who has been on trial at the club this week - and indeed what the future holds for Kelvin Jack, whose tenure at the club has been beset by injuries.

We welcome Derek to the club - and wish him all the best for the coming season.
