Stevenage Borough have announced that Gillingham have agreed terms for Stevenage pair Barry Fuller and Stuart Lewis.

Barry Fuller is versatile and can play in the midfield or defence. He is a player with a reputation for tough tackling and total commitment.

Stuart Lewis is a holding central midfielder who posessess a strong shot.

Talking to the Stevenage official website chairman Phil Wallace said, "Of course we will be sorry to see two young players move on but it is a great opportunity for them, they are both keen to join Gillingham and we do not want to stand in anyone's way if they are replaceable and we get the deal we think is right for the Club.

The key word at this stage of the season, bearing in mind our league position, is replaceable. We need to use any departure as an opportunity to strengthen the squad and, after talking with Peter Taylor today I am confident that, using his many contacts within football, he can do that next week. All that remained once that was established was to ensure that the Club received the right fee and a significant share of any future transfers, which I am pleased to say we have done.

I therefore expect them to sign for Gillingham tomorrow."
