Stone becomes a Bee
Far from being out of the picture at Gillingham, Stone's loan move is intended to help give the former Gills trainee more regular first-team football - something that Mark Stimson was keen to stress when talking to the club's official website this week.

"Craig has joined Brentford for a month's loan and it will be an excellent chance for the lad to gain some more experience, and then hopefully come back to us an improved player," the Gills boss explained.

"I said when I first came to the club that I thought he had talent, but we have midfielders here that are above him at the moment, so it is good that he will be able to get out there and get some matches under his belt."

"Craig has a future here at Gillingham and I made him available because I want him to gain some valuable experience and Brentford will offer him that."
